I think that as of right now, the lab website does a decent job of showing what we do (e.g., the papers, the databases, the people). However, a lot of what makes our science worth doing doesn't fit neatly into a publications list :). This blog is a space for that.
We'll hope to use this space to share updates that don't warrant a press release, explain ongoing projects in plain language, introduce new lab members, and occasionally write about things adjacent to the research.
